What To Know Before Canceling Your Factor Meals Subscription
Before proceeding, it is important to understand the terms “cancel” and “deactivate”. Both terms are used interchangeably in the Terms and Conditions of Factor Meals.
Cancelling your subscription means that you temporarily suspend your subscription. This gives you the opportunity to reactivate your subscription at a later time.
Deactivating your subscription, on the other hand, means that you permanently close your account. This means that you will not be able to use the service unless you re-sign up.
By cancelling your subscription, you are completely removing your personal information from factor’s servers.
If you want to make sure that your payment information, such as your credit card information, is completely removed, you should cancel your account.
However, if you anticipate that you will use factor meals again in the future, you may want to cancel your subscription.
I will explain how to cancel your account in detail below.
Before cancelling or cancelling your account, make sure you cancel or cancel your account before Wednesday, which is 11:59 p.m. CST. If you cancel or cancel after this time, you’ll still be charged and you’ll get your current week’s meal box. You’ll only be charged for next week’s delivery.
How To Cancel Factor Meals (3 Simple Ways)
Thankfully, Factor Meals does not make you jump through hoops to cancel your account. I’ve outlined the 3 main ways you can do so below…
How To Cancel Factor Meals On Their Website
- To access your Factor Meals account, simply log in to their website. Once you’re on the main page of your account, navigate to the sidebar menu and select “Plan Settings”. Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you reach the “Status” section. In this section, you’ll find a prominent button labeled “Deactivate my plan”. Click on this button to proceed with deactivating your plan.
- After clicking the button, you’ll be directed to a new page where Factor Meals will provide you with a discount incentive to encourage you not to deactivate your plan. They will also offer solutions to common issues, such as switching to a more affordable plan if cost is a concern. If you still wish to proceed with canceling your plan, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the button that says “Cancel anyway”.
- At this point, a pop-up will appear asking for the reason behind your departure. It is optional to fill out this form if you prefer not to. To complete the deactivation process, simply click on the “Deactivate now” button.
How To Cancel Factor Meals Via Email
To cancel your subscription by email, follow these steps:
First, write an email to Factor’s customer support at help@factor75.com. Use the email address you used to sign up for your factor meals account.
In the subject line of your email, type “Cancel my subscription.”
In the body of your email, include:
Your full name as shown on your factor account.
The email address you have associated with your factor account
The address you receive your deliveries from.
Your reason for canceling your subscription.
By including all of these details in your email, you can reduce the amount of time you spend with your customer support representative.
How To Cancel Factor Meals Via Phone
While cancelling your subscription over the phone is the most time-consuming (since you may have to wait on hold while a representative answers the phone), it is also relatively straightforward.
Before you call, make sure you have all the information I listed for cancelling via email:
Your full name
Your email address (if different)
The address you signed up for with Factor
The address you were using to receive deliveries
Your reason for cancellation
Once you have everything you need to cancel your subscription, give Factor Customer Care a call.
When you speak to a representative, tell them you want to cancel and provide them with all the information they need to confirm your deactivation process.
Look For This Confirmation Email After You Cancel
No matter how you cancel Factor Meals, you need to make sure you get a confirmation email. If you don’t see it, look in your spam folder to see if it’s there. Cancellation emails are usually sent within 5-10 minutes after your cancellation is processed.
If you haven’t received an email confirming your cancellation, chances are your cancellation request didn’t go through. If that’s the case, I recommend you try cancelling again, and maybe try a different method.
How To Terminate Your Factor Meals Account (2 Options)
To completely cancel your account, you will need to follow these steps:
- Collect the necessary information:
- Provide your full name.
- If available, provide your email address.
- If not already used, provide your address.
- Provide your delivery address.
- Clearly state your reason(s) for terminating the account.
- There are two options to contact factor.com for cancellation:
- Send a message to help.factor.com.
- Call factor.com at 888.573.5727.
- In both cases, inform the customer support team that you want to cancel your account completely, not just deactivate or cancel it. Also, be prepared to provide any additional information they may require.
- After completing the cancellation process, be sure to check your email for a confirmation message that verifies the termination of your account.
